Other accounts claiming to be Zooey include: @OfficialZooey (this “Zooey” leaves out spaces in She & Him (“She&Him”); her photos are ones just grabbed from the internet; “She&Him 2″? I don’t think I have that album…); @ZooeyCDeschanel (this “Zooey” tweeted about being back home in LA when in reality She & Him were still touring in England; spelt The Chapin Sisters ‘chepin sisters’ (and more bad spelling and grammar); hopefully the real Zooey knows April’s Fools Day is not the 2nd; “Nervouse”?; Zooey is American, therefore would not use the day/month/year format.)

- Look at the Twitter profile picture – Zooey holds the LA Times while the ‘therealzooeyd’ Twitter page is open on her MacBook.
- Fellow actor (and friend of Zooey’s) Joseph Gordon-Levitt follows it with his Twitter account, @hitRECordJoe, not the others.
- Funny Or Die Presents links to the real account on this page (scroll down to Zooey).
- Type ‘Zooey Deschanel Twitter’ into Google and ‘therealzooeyd’ is top of the list. Google knows all.
- Better spelling and grammar.
- It was announced on the www.500days.com fanblog – fairly reliable source.
