I’ve not been to a heavy rock gig, but I can imagine what it would be like. But I mean there’s only so much you can say to a crowd I mean it’s not like you can talk individually to everyoen, so questions where everyone can reply make it easier too.

Yeah, Matt tends to stay in the shadows a little. I was annoyed with myself that I forgot to get his guitar bit from In The Sun in A’dam, coz when I saw it in Berlin I told myself I had to get that, and then the song was on and I was singing along and it was like “oh shit, I was gonna get the guitar bit – oops too late!”

100 pounds? OUCH! No wonder you didn’t go tonight. I wonder how it was. Sooooooooooooo wish I was there. I hope someone will write a report.

As for interaction, nearly all heavy rock gigs I’ve been to the talking only consists of swearwords and yelling. So to have less interaction than those is fine as long as it’s worthwhile. Which of course with Zooey it is, she seems to really appreciate people listening to her songs. A few kind words is all we need.

M.Ward didn’t say a great deal although he looked all around a lot and seemed to really enjoy himself. I think he knows it’s Zooey’s moment really!

The price of train tickets (2 returns, about 100 miles each way) plus hops on the tube came just short of £100. So couldn’t do it every night!

In Berlin, I am fairly certain Matt did not say a word at all! But in Amsterdam, he did just say a few “dank u wel”‘s when there was a lot of applause after a song.

Ouch! Hope it wasn’t theirs if it had a parking ticket! haha Yeah – using public transport sometimes sucks.

Oh God, I’ve been living in Europe for a year (literally – today is my 1 year Europe anniversary today) and I’ve already forgotten what it’s like to live in a big country. NL is so small I’m used to being able to go anywhere I want within a couple of hours! Oh yeah it cost me about 13 quid (one way) to go visit my aunt near Cambridge last year when I was in London last year – crazy!

I hope they will go to Australia some time because I am probably going back there in August. But otherwise I’ll just have to wait for the next Euro shows and start saving like mad.
